Walmart’s grocery market share is 21%, according to date released earlier this week from Numerator. The closest competitor is Kroger at 8.5%. Costco (8.2%), Albertsons (4.9%), and Publix (4.1%) round out the top five.
Numerator, a market research firm, ranks grocers using purchase data, survey results from verified buyers, and omnichannel market share, both online and in-store.
