Aldi announced that it has a signed lease for a portion of the ground floor of The Ellery, a 32-story residential development on 42nd Street near Times Square in New York. The 25,000 square foot store will be the discount grocer’s first Manhattan location.
Aldi aims to open 800 new U.S. stores by the end of 2028. In 2024 the company opened nearly 120 stores in the U.S., and this year they plan to open 225 more.
